    Nice warm chessboard for a smaller set

    I love the warmth of mahogany. This smaller chessboard is a nice pairing with my smaller set of chess pieces (boxwood and rosewood). It makes for a nice, friendly-feeling set that I use for setting up my on-line games on a side table, but that I'd feel happy using to play a friendly game with anyone. It makes me feel happy to see the depth that the dark highlights in the mahogany frame brings out in the squares. This, with a modest set of wooden pieces, would make a very handsome gift for a chess enthusiast. As usual, I love the Rechapados Ferrer craftsmanship.

    The quality is incredible. It's so smooth it seems fake, but looking at the veneer you can see it's real and the wood is beautiful.
