The Chess Store Returns Policy
How to Return a Product:
If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return it within 30 days for a full refund less any shipping paid for by the customer. Merchandise must be received in new or otherwise original condition with all original packaging. The Chess Store does not charge a restocking fee on returns.
It is not necessary to contact us for an RMA number to return an order. Simply put the items back in the original product packaging and re-package in the original shipping box making sure to fill all void so that the products are not loose and can become damaged on the way back to us. Insure the package for any amount over what is covered with the shipping method that you use. If the product is damaged on the way back the customer will need to file the claim for the damaged product as the shipper. Allow 5 to 10 days for processing from the time we receive the return until you see the refund on your credit card.
The Chess Store DOES NOT pay for return shipping unless the wrong item is shipped or some other error was made. The Chess Store does not pay for return shipping related to the quality of a product or other subjective standards. In cases where The Chess Store does pay for return shipping a prepaid FedEx shipping label will be emailed to the customer.
If you receive a product and find that it is damaged, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. Photos are always helpful if you can provide them. We will file a damage claim with the shipper and send out a replacement or issue a refund.
The Chess Store does not do exchanges. Customers must place a new order and return the items already purchased for a refund.
