Handcrafted from ebonized and natural boxwood with a polished lacquer finish, the pieces feature classic Staunton styling built to withstand years of regular play. The 3.75" king with a 1.625" base offers excellent balance and presence on the board. Each piece is heavily weighted and finished with thick green billiard cloth pads for smooth movement and a quiet, refined feel during play. Two extra queens are included for pawn promotion, and every set comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
