This is a 34-piece set that includes two extra queens for pawn promotion. The ebonized pieces are lacquer polished to an obsidian black finish nearly indistinguishable from real ebony. The king is 3.25” tall with a base diameter of 1.375”, an excellent size for casual chess games at home. Our Mahogany and Maple Deluxe Chess Board from Rechapados Ferrer combines classic design with elegant features to create an eye-catching battlefield for your chess game. This is an inlaid chess board handcrafted from high quality mahogany and maple veneer and sealed with a polyurethane finish that both protects and enhances the beauty of the wood. A triple-layer delimiter accentuates the playing field and enhances the rich color of the mahogany. The squares are 1.75” and the footprint of the board is 17.5” square. Four felt pads on the bottom will protect whatever furniture the board sets on.
