Our British Staunton draws inspiration from a vintage design originating from the old British Chess Company in the mid-1800s. Featuring a purely traditional Staunton design, the pieces are handcrafted from boxwood with the ebonized black pieces polished to an ebony-like finish. This is a thirty-four-piece set that includes two extra queens for pawn promotion. The king is 4”-tall with base diameter of 1.6” making it ideal for tournament games. The pieces are heavily weighted for exceptional stability and have thick green baize pads on the bottom for a soft cushion on the chess board. We include a Certificate of Manufacturer so you will always know what the pieces are, when they were made, and where they came from.

Chess Set
The chess set was found on the hood of my pickup in the driveway this morning. That's not your fault---UPS can claim that. Anyway the set was very attractive. Looked nice on the ebony, maple and mesquite board that I had for sale in the store. I put your card out so people would know where to buy.
