This is the plastic version of the most popular wood chess set in our collection - The German Knight Staunton. The German Knight is a favorite for club players and used more than any other set in tournaments. The black and aged ivory pieces are made from a glossy plastic and will withstand the rigors of regular play for a lifetime. The king is 3.9" tall and has a base diameter of 1.7". The top surface is covered with a durable fabric with a no-shine finish that makes it the perfect surface for playing chess. This is a regulation size chess board with 2.25" squares and measures 20" overall. Alpha-numeric notation around the border helps players record moves during the game.
