Our son had bought the heavier set for a few dollars more but for occasional use I decided to get this set and while I could feel the difference it was not that much. Love having a second queen and the felt on the bottom of the pieces.

Good product but...
I'm using these pieces for a volunteer chess club program that I have with youth in Paterson, NJ. I was trying to match existing pieces and was able to do so. There was a "clitch" with the promo code which caused me to accidentally order an extra set of pieces, but the Chess Club can always use extra pieces. The "clitch" occurred again as I was logging in to write this review (the promo code disappears when you scroll over it), ahhh technology.
