Floppy chess board
Would give it ten stars! It's much thicker than a standard vinyl roll up board, and it's just like a large mouse pad, but still fits easily into a carry bag, and it really does always lay flat, and the graphics have to be seen to be appreciated, it instantly became my favorite board. I highly recommend it to everyone!!

Rosewood & maple floppy chess board, 2.25 in squares
I am quite impressed by this board. The picture on the website doesn't do justice to the high-quality printing and the effect it makes. After receiving this beautiful board, I had the chance to compare it with another from a different online store. They were not the same; the manufacturer was obviously different. The other board had two defects: 1. The wood effect was overdone, with knots, lines, and glaring imperfections with the obvious intention of making it look more "natural", but it just looks worse. A chess board must be even and without distractions. 2. The board was much too thin, almost like a thin piece of cloth. The board I got from The Chess Store is so much nicer!
