Handcrafted from solid wood, its exterior boasts graceful curves adorned with a three-row beaded section around the top and a refined molded edge beneath. The chess board, featuring high-quality elm burl and bird’s-eye maple veneer, is accented by a decorative black delimiter highlighting the playing area. The chess board has 1.75" squares and the case an overall footprint of nineteen inches square. A drawer on each player’s side completely pulls out to make it easy to put pieces in and take them back out. Each drawer has sixteen individual compartments lined with a soft velour fabric to protect each piece.
