This lightweight floppy chess board combines the benefit of a flexible rubber backed mousepad board with the thinness of vinyl or silicone chess board. The top surface is a fabric material that is washable while the bottom is a thin rubber mat and together the board is only 1 mm thick (~040"). This is a regulation size chess board with 2.25" squares and measures 20"overall. This rollup-style board is an excellent choice for chess game whether at home, the park, school, or a tournament.

    Good board, poor shipping

    This is a very nice board and I'm really impressed with the general quality and looks of it. I'm using it with different wood and plastic pieces and it matches them gorgeously. The rubber underside is a bit on the smelly side, but not so bad as the silicone chess boards. A bit of airing will take care of that. My only complaint is that these boards actually have memory and preserve creases when folded. I would recommend you guys ship them out rolled instead of folded. The creases are permanent in both boards I bought, and in at least one of them they actually decolored some of the squares.
