A canvas bag with stitching and zipper that seems sturdy. Even the pockets inside are canvas. The piece pockets were just right for my set with a 3.75 inch king and two extra queens. I'm very pleased with this purchase and would buy it again.
Everything you could want in a bag to carry all the essentials to bring to a tournament. It holds regular size chess pieces, one pouch for black and one for white. A place for the chess board, clock and two places for pencils. The only negative I have is that the zipper closes towards the outside of the bag. A better design would to have a double zipper or allow it to close more towards the inside of the bag. Just a personal preference.
This bag comfortably accommodated everything I needed. My chess pieces were safely and snuggly secure, one pouch for either color. The center storage space was very roomy for everything from my vintage wind-up clock to a modernized digital clock I just bought. I had plenty of room to put my game notepad and pencils, with a strong and sturdy outer zipper to keep everything locked and in its place. Plus the tough canvas material assures me this bag can take quite a beating for years to come! I love it!!
