This large single tray chess box we designed to hold and protect chess sets with kings up to 4" tall and especially those with fine detail and that have a glossy finish. There are thirty-four individual compartments designed for sets with extra queens. The foam tray is made from EVA which is a high-density foam that will withstand the weight of heavy chess pieces but is soft enough to dampen shock and protect fine detail on expensive sets. The box is made from heavy duty fiberboard and covered with an elegant black leatherette paper. The lid has our logo stamped in gold foil in the center and has a full length flap that is secured by hidden magnets under the paper. Compared to $400 or more for a wooden chess coffer, this is an exceptional value and protects the pieces even better because the compartments are softer and fully enclose the pieces. This box will provide the ultimate protection for your treasured chess pieces at an amazingly affordable price and look great too!
