The rosewood pieces have a rich brown-burgundy color with dark brown streaks running through the grain while the boxwood has the perfect light beige-amber color. This is a library size set with a 3.25" tall king that is ideal for the casual game at home. The pieces are heavily weighted for exceptional balance and stability while thick green baize pads allow the pieces to slide smoothly across the chess board.
