This chess set package includes our German Staunton Chess Set in golden rosewood and boxwood matched with our Standard Walnut and Maple Chess Board. Sometimes simple is best and that's true of our German Knight Staunton chess set with its simple but attractive design. Unencumbered by fine detail, the pieces will stand up to the rigor of everyday play and it's an especially good chess set for blitz. Pieces have green billiard cloth pads for a soft feel on the chess board and are weighted for stability. The golden rosewood and boxwood are hand polished to a beautiful sheen.     I ordered the German Knight Staunton Chess Set in Golden Rosewood & Boxwood with Walnut Chess Board - 3.25" King

    I wasn't sure which set to get. Not having that much money, I pretty much got the cheapest set and I must say, if this is their cheapest set, i wonder how much nicer the other sets are. The pieces are crafted so well, with a good amount of weight to them. They are not light, which is good bc that tells me they're not junk wood or material.

    The board is much bigger than the picture but no complaints here. It is nice and heavy and crafted very well. I am so happy with this purchase and they have a customer for life now. I highly recommend this board set.
