First introduced in 2001, our Fierce Knight Series quickly became a favorite among players and collectors. True to its name, the boldly sculpted knight features perked ears, alert eyes, and a finely detailed muzzle — a fierce expression that stands out on any board.

Crafted from golden rosewood and boxwood, this tournament-size set offers warm, rich contrast and excellent durability. Each piece is hand-polished with a traditional lacquer finish, heavily weighted for stability, and cushioned with green baize pads for smooth movement. From the imposing 4” king to the elegantly proportioned pawns, every piece reflects the graceful profile of classic Staunton design. Includes two extra queens for pawn promotion and a certificate of authenticity documenting the woods, origin, and craftsmanship.

Best Wood Chess Set I ever bought...

Posted by Carlos V. Abrille on 25th Oct 2015

My search for the best wood set is over! this is the one. Spent so many hours comparing quality and cost. I can attest this indeed is by far the best design and craftsmanship in this price range, it feels triple weight. This set is equivalent to $200 and even the $800 sets, it's no joke, do your research and you'll see. Received my set on time, totally impressed how it was packaged that I was reluctant to put them in your chess bag !!! ;)
