Great Value
A very nice general purpose plastic set. The size is perfect for standard 2.25" tournament boards. The pieces are made of high quality hard plastic, not the typical softer matte type which is more prone to scratching and just looks cheaper. My set arrived in good condition with no chipped pieces, loose weights or any other issues. Some may not like the sharp points on the queens but these can easily be filed down if one so chooses. I shopped around before purchasing these and could not find a better looking plastic set for the price.

My First Plastic Set. Very Nice.
I wasn't sure what to expect from a $20 plastic set, in spite of the good reviews. Upon opening the bags and setting up the pieces on my silicone board mat, I was very pleased. They all look very nice and they feel nice, too. My order was packaged well and it arrived quickly.

Excellent quality for your roll-up set
I don't like pieces that don't have weight so I got these for my travel set and I feel I got exactly what I had hoped for. The pieces look nice, cool staunton design, and the weight makes them more enjoyable to play. Worth the price to upgrade light plastic pieces to these ones.

I just received my Conqueror black and ivory plastic chess set. I have to say how pleased I am with how they look! My friends who saw them are all impressed and I'm getting compliments all the time! They look like they would be a lot more than $19.95! Also very pleased with the professional packaging when the arrived! The Chess Store is first class!

Conqueror Plastic Chess Set
Today I just walked into the Chess Store office and ordered this set, and walked out with it. (Nice to live close to the Chess Store lol) This is a nice, heavy chess set and a real value for $19.95. The pieces look better in person than they do in the picture. Wide bases and nicely weighted. The knights are good looking and the rooks are big and wide. The pieces feel weighty and substantial in your fingers and are just nicer than the standard club set. For the price, it's a steal. And the Chess Store's customer service is just as good in person as it is online. And thank you to Christie for the felt circles.
