    I bought these plastic pieces for myself, to put in my bike paniers for impromptu games when I’m out for my daily ride. I expected the pieces to be a more brittle plastic than they are, for some reason, but their more rubbery consistency was actually better for my intended “rough” use. However, when my son and his family visited my wife and me on our small farm this July 4th, and I observed how much my grandkids were enjoying playing with my Old Club Staunton wood set from The Chess Store out on our enclosed porch, I decided to offer, at the end of their visit, these plastic pieces, along with a roll-up board and an archer bag, also from the Chess Store, to my particularly chess-obsessed 7 year old granddaughter. She was delighted.
