    Beautiful Chess Pieces

    After ordering the pieces, they were promptly shipped. They arrived well and safely packed for protection. Thank you The Chess Store team for your good customer service. The pieces themselves are very nice and seem well made. As the product description indicates, the pieces are small, but they seem sturdy enough for everyday use. The metal parts are quite heavy, especially on the knight, which makes the night quite easy to topple over. For this reason, it would be nice if the pieces (at least the night) were weighted. However, this does not detract from their beauty. I use the pieces only as decoration, together with Green and Erable Framed (1.5" squares) board (pricey but very beautiful and well made), and find the combination very pleasing.
