Awesome German Knight Set
These pieces are massive and well made. They are weighted nicely and have a wide base, which I like. They are stout, the picture showing them doesn’t capture how wide they are from top to bottom, in my opinion. Awesome set and I couldn’t be happier.

They’ve got some heft to them!
Pieces are of great quality and feel substantial in your hand, and the look great on the board. However, I have a chess table and the squares are only 1.75” rather than standard 2.25” so the pieces get crowded and it’s more difficult to see the board well. Perhaps it’s a good tip for The Chess Store to add the recommended board/square size to the piece selections for those new to chess who might not recognize there are various board sizes. Obviously I could have measured, but it never occurred to me until I opened the box. Nonetheless, the pieces are awesome and my 8 yr old son loves them.

Excellent Quality!
This chess set is a perfect large size. The pieces have a nice weight and heft to them and are high quality with felt bottoms. They are perfect for my large game table that has a large chess board.

The pieces are huge and heavy!
I bought these pieces with the intention of replacing my old chess pieces. They are beautiful. I'm so glad I bought them here at The Chess Store because the pieces were cheaper than the ones that I found on Amazon. I highly recommend these Chess pieces.

Nice heavyweight set. I purchased ivory and black set and all pieces were in excellent condition. All pieces have a nice finish. I would recommend this set to all whether your a beginner or serious player.

Great Chess Set
I ordered the professional plastic chess set with 4 1/8 King. It was everything I was expecting and came with extra Queens and is triple weighted . It is a great looking set. Thanks for selling at a great price.

Heavy solid pieces
The ivory colorway perfectly compliments the colour of the vinyl green and buff board. I had to sand the queen's (crown?) with sandpaper; but other than that, its amazing. Extra queens were a nice gesture.

exceptional value
This set is as handsome as it is nice. The pieces are bold and have a weighty appearance. The pieces are appropriately weighted and are nice to move. The size of the pieces are a little larger than "normal" pieces, but not too large to be a distraction. Highly recommend this set. The comments about the queens points are correct, but it took me about 2 minutes to file the crowns down and they look even better with the filed crowns.
