This package includes our Master Series tournament size plastic chess set matched with our Club Vinyl Roll-up Chess Board and our Easy-Carry canvas chess piece bag. Our Master Series is a traditional Staunton chess set featuring unique and finely detailed knights that you will not find on any other chessmen in this price range. This is a 34 piece set that includes 2 extra queens for pawn promotion. The king is 3.75" tall and has a base diameter of 1.5" which is an ideal size for tournament play or the casual game at home. The chess board is made from a soft, pliable vinyl with a cloth backing and algebraic notation around the border. It's easy to clean and flattens out nicely. The Easy-Carry bag is made from a heavy canvas material that will withstand the rigors of frequent use and travel. The bag has a zipper on top and easily holds the chess pieces with room to spare. A sleeve on the bottom-side of the bag securely holds the vinyl roll-up chess board and a handle on top makes it easy to carry. This package is the perfect choice for schools, clubs, and tournaments looking for the very best value in a complete chess set.

Very attractive for a user set

    Posted by R. M. on 31st Oct 2016

I have wanted a set like this for about 20 years and finally pulled the trigger on this one. The pieces seem reasonably sturdy, the board seems like it has very little curl memory. This is going to make a great user set. I hope to teach my daughter how to play on it.
