Our Guardian plastic chess set is distinguished by its unique robot looking knight - players of all ages love it! The other pieces are traditional Staunton and heavily weighted with an extra wide base for exceptional stability on the chess board. The plastic has a matte finish that eliminates the reflection you get from pieces made from glossy plastic. All of these features put together make a terrific tournament set and with a different look from the rest.

Received the Guardian set with the black kings top cross broken off. We sent an email and left a message to the Chess Store and a new black king is on the way! Thanks guys! I like the Guardians weight and the design of the pieces seems more substantial than other sets. I have a set in black and camel and this set is black and white. I've also given them as gifts.
It is very solid and strong pieces. Proportions is about right and I like tall rooks. Knights looks quite uniquely. Bishops with round head as well unusial. Overall is good quility. Only my wish is - seams between halfs could be less visible, and pawns heads not quite perfect shape. But if you buy it on sale you cant be wrong with this solid set.
I liked the product. Being of plastic is of good quality. The pieces have enough weight so that they can be held on the board and feel comfortable when moving from one square to another. I get the impression for their colors, they look a lot like the pieces that were used in the last championship for the World Chess title. I feel satisfied. Thank you "The chess Store".
I like the look and feel of the whole set. However the ears of the Knights are quite sharp. Have to dull them so as to prevent someone getting poked. The Knights are the focal point of this set with a robotic look. The slant head look is really nice since most sets have a straight forward looking Knight heads. The Ramparts of the Rooks is really nice. Reminds me of the Rogue Knight Rooks. The price tag is kind of high. If you are willing to spend the extra money. This set will not disappoint you. Good for club, tournament, and casual play.
I really took a liking to the style of the robotic knight and the smoothness of the queen's crown especially for blitz games. Nicely weighted and this was a second purchase because I liked it so much. The first purchase was in Black and Camel color. Twice as nice in Ivory. Thank you Chess Store.
